    Animal Crossing: New Horizons updates once again, in time for Carnival and the end of winter holidays.

    Starting January 28th A new update will be made available on the simulator where you live on a peaceful and customizable island for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite. This includes a colorful and feathery Carnival, some additions to seasonal items, new emotions and products to purchase. Specifically, here are all the news, without forgetting the party of lovers.



    Animal Crossing: New Horizons Carnival update

    • Carnival: appointment on February 15th, when a peacock dancer of samba will arrive in the square of the island Pavão. Only during this day, it will be possible to take colored feathers that flutter on the island with the net and exchange them with Pavão to receive a dance step in exchange.
    • New emotions: The Carnival emotion set can be purchased at Nook's Shop for a limited time and includes the Blood Rhythm, Engagement, Viva and Confetti emotions.
    • New costumes: starting from February 1st, the Carnival costumes will be available at Sisters Ago and Filo for a limited time
    • Seasonal items: New seasonal items will be available on the Nook Catalog. Players will be able to celebrate Valentine's Day with chocolate hearts and heart bouquets, which will be available for purchase from February 1st to February 14th. There will also be other articles, related to the Lunar New Year and the night of the Big Game, at certain times between January and February.

    Another free update is planned for March (the video shows some iconic Mario icons) and the same month the Sanrio Collaboration Pack will be available, which contains all six amiibo cards resulting from a collaboration with Sanrio, a company known for Hello Kitty or Aggretsuko (Netflix series). These amiibo cards can then be used, but we await details on this.

    Animal Crossing was the second most played title on Nintendo Switch after Fortnite, and it sold millions of copies. Released in a delicate moment - just before the lockdown in Spain - it certainly helped a much desired escape, complicit in the success.
