APPLE will launch devices with ARM CPUs in 2021

Apple had already announced for some time that it intends to replace Intel CPUs within the product range and, the first batch of devices with the new ARM-based CPUs, should soon be launched on the market. Having a fully customized CPU inside the MacBook or a device iMac will allow Apple to have better control of performance and consumption, combined with better security of these devices, just as happened with the iPhone models. Apple has demonstrated that its custom CPUs based on Arm Instruction Set Architecture (ISA) they can be very powerful and much more efficient, having a TDP of a few Watts.

Apple has therefore started a strong strategy of replacing its processors, which should give some results by fourth quarter of the 2020 or in first quarter of 2021. The introduction of a custom processor design is expected to lead not only to tighter control of the system, but rather to a financial advantage. The custom processor will in fact be cheaper than the 40-60% compared to current Intel CPU prices.
