The game is developed by Smilegate Entertainment and Remedy. In particular, Smilegate took care of the multiplayer section of the title, while Remedy of the single-player campaign.

CrossfireX therefore joins the list of all the games that were released this year and that have been postponed due to the pandemic we are experiencing.

As for the game itself, the developers said they drew inspiration from games like Metal Gear Solid and Resident Evil for the single-player campaign, increasing our curiosity about this project.

CrossfireX will therefore be released in 2021, but at what time of year it is not yet known.
