    Strategy and useful tips:

Before facing the Knight Artorias, know that you will need to learn how to dodge his attacks, then be equipped with light armor that gives you some freedom of movement. If you don't want to dodge, equip a heavy shield, which will allow you to parry an entire combo, then counterattack. Also know that it is slightly vulnerable to electrical and magical attacks.

When he does the area attack, you have plenty of time to heal. Remember to only give him one hit after dodging, otherwise you will be exposed to his powerful and damaging blows. The battle will be slightly slow and you will need to have patience and strong nerves, but do not worry: dodging (or parrying) and hitting only once, the boss will die without creating too many problems.

When Artorias stops and charges the area attack, you can either interrupt it by attacking it and then take the physical attack it will execute immediately afterwards or walk away, heal yourself and then dodge (or parry) the physical attack. This depends on how much life you have available. Know that the area attack is very harmful and it is good to keep very far away or stop it, otherwise you will find yourself in serious difficulty or even dead.

Dark Souls - Boss Guide: Knight Artorias
The Artorias knight is certainly one of the most loved characters of the whole saga created by Hidetaka Miyazaki and the guys from FromSoftware. His story, as sad as it is moved by courage and an iron will, bent only by the suffocating advance of the power of the Abyss, still echoes through the streets of Lordran, making the skilled warrior a true legend. It is said that Artorias, the strongest of the four great knights chosen by Lord Gwyn himself, was sent by the latter to investigate the mysterious wandering of the plague of the Abyss that was slowly engulfing the peaceful County of Oolacile in its insatiable jaws. Arrived on the spot, together with his faithful companion, Sif the Gray Wolf, the knight will be forced to make a pact with the darkness itself, in an attempt to descend into its depths and defeat Manus, the Father of the Abyss once and for all. . The battle, however, is uneven as Artorias is unable to sustain his new strength, thus ending up consumed by the Abyss itself, becoming one of its most difficult and difficult guardians to overcome. Before succumbing, however, Artorias casts a protective spell on his shield to defend Sif who, once he returns to the surface, will make that sad and solemn place his home, trying to prevent anyone from making the same sad end of his. beloved Knight.
