To create the best equipment in Dauntless you will have to get your hands on some Orbs, but how and where can you get them? There are two ways to farm orbs in Dauntless, which will allow you to upgrade your equipment to become an unbeatable Slayer. You can get orbs for each of the different elements in Dauntless, and as your character progresses, you'll be able to take on the more challenging Behemoths that will give you more orbs. First of all though, you will need to be at least al level 4 before you can start farming, so let's take a look at what needs to be done.
Typology of Orbs
First of all, you have to bear in mind that they exist seven types of Orbs, so let's take a look at which ones Behemoth you will have to hunt to get the type you need:
- Neutral Orbs dai Neutral Behemoth
- Umbral Orbs dai Umbral Behemoth
- Radiant Orbs dai Radiant Behemoth
- Earth Orbs dai Terra Behemoth
- Blaze Orbs dai Blaze Behemoth
- Frost Orbs dai Frost Behemoth
- Shock Orbs by Shock Behemoth
This makes it easy to identify what kind of enemy do you face to get the required orbs, for the element you have chosen to specialize.
How to farm Orbs
Hunt Patrols are definitely the easiest way to farm orbs and hunt Behemoth. Keep on hunting Behemoths of a certain element type and Orbs will be arriving soon, even from lesser Behemoths.
Once you have completed the Go Forth and Slay mission and reached Slayer level 4, you will unlock the City on the Verge quest and Hunt Patrols. For the first six successfully completed Hunt Patrols, to be done every day, the reward will be 10 Orbs. So if you are looking for a specific type of Orb, the best thing to do is focus on doing Patrol.
Each successful Patrol will reward you with 10 Orbs, so it won't take long to get the orbs you need to upgrade your equipment. The only drawback is that the level of the Behemoth cannot be known that you will engage until you are about to fight. So we always recommend equipping yourself with the best equipment, with potions and forming a team before jumping into a Hunt Patrol.
