In Death Stranding you can get Like (or I like it) from other online players, NPCs and BB. They are not a real social-style currency, but they are useful because only the most valued items will remain available in the game. Also getting Like during a mission will allow you to get bonuses in the reward of the next quest.
How to get likes from other players
In Death Stranding, the likes received from other players will increase the Bridge Link rank. To get them you can:
- Building structures and vehicles
Each time players use them you will get a like. Building generators will certainly make the hunt for big likes easier. - Make a donation to the shared locker
In case you have a lot of materials, you could put the surplus ones in the shared locker, losing them. This way, however, other players will be able to use them as they wish. Currently this method is the fastest to earn "likes". - Deliver lost items
Other players may leave items in the lockers which can be returned. By taking them to their destination you will get a handful of likes. Remember not to damage the objects, keeping the load balanced and firm. - Improving a facility
Donate the materials needed to improve a facility.
How to get likes from NPCs
NPC likes are the most important, as they will increase your reputation in certain establishments. Which will result in: better rewards, more materials, more Chiral Bandwith, emails and data.
- Complete deliveries to a facility
Try to get the S rank in the Premium quests, in Hard mode: you will get the Legend of Legends rank, along with many likes. Use the Ziplines to travel long distances without difficulty and focus on deliveries that require the transport of large quantities of goods, because they are the ones that will make you more deserving.
The recipient NPC will give you a rating. The greater the difficulty, the greater the likes received. - Deliver lost items
Delivering lost items (even to a different facility than intended) will allow you to get likes.
How to get likes from BB
BB can also like you and is a great way to increase your level with him, making him less whiny. To do this you can:
- Grimacing in the mirror
Make Sam make funny faces, this way you will receive 40 likes from BB. Keep grimacing to get more. - Take pictures in the mirror
Look in the mirror and take a picture. - Jumping long distances ...
