Electronic Arts launches, in advance of the release on the shelves, the free upgrade of FIFA 21 for Sony and Microsoft next-gen platforms. One day before the new generation version goes on sale in fact, is already online thereupdate which allows users who have installed FIFA 21 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, to switch to their respective versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X / S.
To get the new generation version, all you have to do is log in to your PS5 or Xbox Series X / S with the account associated with your next-gen copy of FIFA 21 and open the game library. An icon should automatically report the (free) update available for purchase. Proceeding you can therefore download the new version of the new generation, for a download of about 50 GB.
As we have already had the opportunity to explain, the progress of the Ultimate Team and Volta modes pass from the current version to the next-gen, but nothing else. The next generation standalone edition of the EA Sports title will go on sale regularly on December 4th as announced.
