Live service improved by Warner Bros. Games

Live service improved by Warner Bros. Games

Warner Bros. Games has several major titles in the pipeline within the next couple of years. All the games released in recent times have adopted a live service model with strong post-launch support. Unfortunately, this service went hand in hand with the advent of microtransactions. This kind of approach to a live service will also continue with the next games.

A job advertisement on the American company's official website states that the publisher "is currently involved in the development of new titles, ranging from triple A to casual games for all platforms on the market." He also goes on to say that "these games will pay more attention to the live service".

The next release in chronological order of Warner Bros. Games is Back 4 Blood, due out in June. The game is a co-op first-person shooter, which is an ideal candidate for live service. Gotham Knights will also be released this year, and given its co-op component, this title could also marry well with a similar model. However, its developers have stated that it has not been developed as a game for this type of service.

Two more upcoming Warner Bros. Games are Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and Hogwarts Legacy. However, these two titles will be released in 2022. If rumors of a possible Injustice 3 are confirmed (which is very likely) it is possible that this game could adapt well to a live service.
