Monkey Island celebrates 30 years since the release of the first chapter of the series this month, The Secret of Monkey Island. Limited Run Games has decided to pay homage to this milestone by preparing a juicy collection for fans, which will be available for pre-order starting October 30th.
Within the collection, called Monkey Island Anthology, users will be able to find a resin statue of Guybrush Threepwood, commemorative pins, a special poster, a multi-layered shadowbox (with the scene of the first The Secret of Monkey Island with Guybrush underwater), the ticket of the Big Whoop, a certificate of authenticity signed by Ron Gilbert, floppy disk 22 (reference to one of the moments of the first title), a USB stick with all 5 games of the PC series inside and, finally, a book containing various interviews with team members, game analysis, unpublished images, production documents and much more.
More details on this Monkey Island Anthology for PC will arrive in the next few days, with copies expected to be on sale for four weeks (therefore for the whole month of November) at a price of dollars 159,99.
