    Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee is a 2D adventure with enormous dimensions and for this reason it is good to divide it into different chapters for each section that you will cross: the recommendations to do before starting your epic is to save very often by entering the pause menu every time you have to save a Mudokon in order not to lose even one otherwise you will not be witnesses of the perfect ending of the game. However, there will be many checkpoints that you will find during the game. The guide has only very rare spoilers so read on without problems.

    First secret room

    As soon as you start the first chapter you will find yourself in the first room a barrel: approach and once you get behind it, bend down and go down inside to find yourself in the first secret room: go down and you will see two Mudokon, three meat titracers and two electricity lines. Jump from the edge of the platform to the left to land next to a meat grinder: drop down from the platform and you will find a sleeping Slig that you do not need to wake up, then move by walking on your toes. Get off this other platform putting yourself on the floor of the Mudokon and be quick because as soon as you touch the floor you will wake up the Slig that you will have to get around by jumping on the right platform where there is a lever that you will have to pull as soon as your enemy is on the small red hatch. Get rid of the Slig by making it fall and go back to the platform at the top where there are the two Mudokons and you will have to be good at jousting with the levers: concentrate on the lever on the left which will slow down the middle titracarne a lot and will allow you to call your partner to safety . Greet him by staying near the left lever and tell him to follow you as soon as the meat titrac is going up so that you have plenty of time to take it in your direction and see it fall into the lower platform: you will now have to continue towards the next Mudokon still blocked by the electricity you now have to deactivate with the lever on the right. Position yourself on the lever and greet the Mudokon and then invite him to follow you trying to avoid it ending up under the meat grinder: he will stop between you and the blades and you will have to reactivate the lever you are on at that moment: cross the meat grinder and go down to the platform below. Now it will be you and three companions near the portal with the birds: sing and save the first three Mudokons of your journey. If the birds disappear, don't worry because you just need to change rooms to make them come back suddenly: remember also that when the portal is opened only the Mudokon that is on the same platform as it will enter, so you will have to drop the others and put them all on the same floor.



    Second secret room

    Now go up completely until you return to the starting point of the game and continue to the right, go up where written and always go to the right until you find a minefield to be overcome by jumping twice on the adjacent platforms; always proceed to the right until you find yourself in a room where there is a sleeping Slig. Sing. By singing you can take possession of the body of the Slig and make it do what you want: now that you have a rifle then pull the lever and continue to the right until you reach a room where there is a sleeping Slig. Grab your shotgun and shoot to kill him, then sing again to detonate your Slig's body and return as Abe. Go right and then go down where you will find a Mudokon cleaning the wall - there is a barrel nearby and it is the new secret entrance. You will find yourself next to a sentry to neutralize otherwise you will not be able to sing: go to the left platform without waking the Sligs and retrieve a grenade by pressing the green button of the big egg, then throw the grenade towards the sentry to make it explode and you can sing to take possession of one of the two Sligs with which you will kill the other and yet another that is in the platform below. Now detonate this Slig and take another bomb that you will need a little further on, go down and use the bomb against the other sentry to be able to sing and talk to the two Mudokon: free them by letting them enter the portal. Now go back up, grab another grenade and go back to where the Mudokon was cleaning the wall next to the barrel.


    Third secret room

    Exit the room and continue to the left, then towards the area where you started the game and throw the grenade in the nearest precipice where there are about four mines: they will explode allowing you to go down and enter the third barrel. Go down to the last platform where you will find a meat titrac and a lever that you must activate to slow down the meat titrator that is on the upper platform. Then go back to where the two Mudokons were working and greeting them, invite them to follow you to make them fall on the platform below: now you will have to pull the lever again after the meat grinder and let both Mudokons pass very calmly to save them. Go back up and to exit the third room you will have to take a run up and jump to grab the higher platform. Exit and go left.


    Fourth secret room

    Going left you will find a trap door that opens with a rope: jump, pull the rope down and be quick to go down the trap door, then grab a grenade and throw it on the sleeping Slig, then throw another one on the mine on the platform below and sing for it. save the Mudokons who will go into the portal. Now go back up and sing to get to the second portal in which you will have to jump to save yourself: you will be hit by the sentry but you will not be killed so don't worry. You will come back to the trap door at the beginning and have to continue to the right.


    Main corridor - area 1

    Going to the right, then towards the exit of the area, take the two Mudokons left behind with you, still to work, cleaning the walls of the corridor: by now the path should be clear if you have followed our instructions and you will arrive on the elevator: let them stop the two green friends on it and start going down until you get to the end of the path where there is a portal. Sing and save the last two Mudokons from the first Slaughterhouse area. Now enter the room on the right and continue beyond.

    You will find the two Mudokons along the way and you just have to lead them without problem to the end of the corridor to get them to safety in the portal.

    Fifth secret room

    Then go up on the platform and you will find yourself in the room with a Slig that you have to drop into the hatch with the lever. Do the same thing you fall into the same trap door to find yourself in a room with a sentry, a Mudokon and a Slig: quickly jump into the shadows and fall from the platform on which the Mudokon works to find yourself between a bomb sorter and a meat grinder. First of all take a bomb and go to the platform on the left, throw the bomb and detonate the sentry, sing to get hold of the Slig and make him pull the lever first that will block the meat grinder and then make him walk on the mine to destroy two pigeons with one stone: let the two Mudokons enter the portal. Now take another bomb and go back to the beginning by exploding with this the Slig that will wander in the shadows: after throwing the bomb hide by hanging yourself near the Mudokon to avoid being spotted. Once the Slig is killed, take your companion downstairs and let him enter the first portal: to escape from the area, sing and enter the portal under the sentry to return to the trap door.


    Main corridor - area 2

    Continue past the slaughterhouses passing the falling pieces of meat and defuse the bomb just ahead by calling and pressing the square button when the bomb is green: climb on the platform and continue to the right. Pull the lever to drop a Slig and sing to get hold of the second which you will then pop while continuing to sing. Pull the lever on the right to cancel the energy line in the previous room and take the Mudokon to the room where you defused the bomb to launch it into the portal. Always go to the right and roll to overcome the first obstacle: when you reach the end of the room, quickly call the Mudokon to you avoiding being discovered by the Slig watching you from the front deck. Take him to the next room and tell him to wait there while you climb onto the platform and pull the lever to block the meat grinder after which you have to let both green men enter the portal singing. Now go to the right and get hold of the Slig that you will have to bring two rooms to the right to kill another of its kind after which you can make him die: continue in the same direction and near the shadow greet someone to hear you answer from your hidden friend in the deepest black. Proceed forward to find two meat mincers: the first will slow down by pulling the lever in the middle which, pulled a second time, will slow down the second, so play the situation as best you can and take the three Mudokons to the next room where there is a lever and another Mudokon : make him approach the lever and go to the next room, let the Slig see you and let him chase you to the room before where you will have to pull the lever while the Slig enters to drop a stone on his head. Once done, you will have 7 Mudokons to enter the portal: one of these hides in the shadow of the room with the lever. Do not continue to the right but go back where you will find an entrance with a yellow symbol on the cap: enter and you will find yourself in the sixth and last secret room in the area.

    Sixth secret room

    Go left running as best you can to prevent the Slig from killing you: get to the bottom and take a grenade from the distributor. Slowly go back to the room before and throw the grenade at the Slig to blow it up: you can also avoid this step which you need only to feel your shoulders covered. Take another grenade and go up with the elevator, when you get to the top explode the three mines and then run to the right also passing the elevator landing there where the Slig rests: run further and stop in front of the three meat mincers. You will see the hatches alternating together with the meat mincers and you will have to be good at rolling when the hatches allow it: to overcome the first meat grinder just jump when it is at the top to land between the two blades while the other two must be overcome by rolling. that the hatches open much more slowly than the first. You will find yourself with three Mudokons nearby and you just have to sing to get them into the portal. Now go back where a hatch has opened that will make you fall near the sentry at the beginning of the room: go to where the bomb dispenser was and call the elevator with the lever. Head back to the top and roll left to end the first chapter with a cutscene.
