The Psyonix Studios development team has announced that Season 2 of Rocket League will be available from 9th December.
Next season is a celebration of music that will introduce a new customization option called Hymns, new songs and content from Grammy-nominated EDM artist Kaskade, thanks to a partnership with Monstercat, a new Rocket Pass, a new arena, and more.
Rocket League Season 2 will bring the following news:
- Hymns - This new customization option will allow players to select and play Rocket League music in the Arena after scoring goals. More information on the Anthems will be revealed on the official Rocket League website tomorrow.
- New Music and Content from Kaskade - Psyonix has teamed up with longtime partner and electronic music label Monstercat, and acclaimed record producer Kaskade, to produce an EP for the Second Season of Rocket League. The first song "Flip Reset", with WILL K, is already available in game and presented in the trailer for Season 2, as well as on the streaming platforms. Additional Kaskade music and content will be made available throughout the season.
- New Rocket Pass - This season's Rocket Pass includes music themed items, some of which will pulsate and sparkle to the beat of the menu and arena music! The appropriately named R3MX car and 70+ other tiers of unique items will be available to all who purchase the Rocket Pass Premium.
- Neon Fields Arena - This new EDM-inspired arena will be available in Online Playlists and Private Matches.
- Rocket Labs - Rocket Labs will return as a Limited Time Mode to the Random Playlist during the season.
- Additional Updates - New competitive rewards, Challenges, quality of life improvements, and changes to the Esports Store will arrive in Season 2. More information on the changes to the Esports Store will be available early next week.
