Generally speaking, the spin-off titles of more or less famous videogame sagas almost always manage to add depth and thickness to characters, events and situations typical of the franchise. Let us dwell on two fundamental words of the last sentence: almost always.

Senran Kagura is a series born in 2011 with a side scrolling beat'em up on Nintendo 3DS that was initially thought would remain unknown to most. Instead, now seven years later, Marvelous is generally associated with a large group of buxom anime-style fighters. To the two spin-offs Bon Appétit! and Peach Beach Splash, released respectively on PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 4, as well as on PC, is accompanied by Shinobi Refle, in the west Reflexions, arriving on Nintendo Switch on 13 September.

Why "almost always"?

Onanism for the poor

Dusk, a high school classroom and a beautiful Asuka bathed in the rays of the setting sun who, after having done some very convincing coaxing, offers us her palms to receive a nice massage. The title is in fact based on Reflexology, an alternative medicine practice that allows to obtain, through the stimulation of certain points with a massage, beneficial effects on specific areas of the body.. Thanks Wikipedia, let's move on.

In our case we are talking about palmar reflexology (nothing to do for foot fetishists, in short) and the stimulation of specific parts of Asuka's hands will follow certain scenarios, seven different in which we will be able to see her, for example, dressed as a volleyball player, as an idol, as a heroine of the classic RPG and also completely naked, wrapped like a Christmas package. We are not kidding at all.

Each fantasy of our protagonist will take us inside the famous dressing room, present in practically all the titles of the Senran Kagura series, where we will be able to use the infamous little hands to stimulate our girl in different points (and therefore with different effects). For those who understand, yes, there is also the all too dubious water jet introduced in Peach Beach Splash.

Once the stimulation is finished correctly, the climax will be reached in which we can initially use only our hands to bring our Asuka to the maximum of pleasure. Proceeding in the various runs we will also be able to unlock different objects, including a roller, a brush and, listen, a vibrator. All the tools will be usable both with the motion sensors of the Joycons, and the traditional levers, with excellent performance both on a laptop and with the Nintendo Switch inserted in the dock.

What am I doing with my life?

The main advantage of Senran Kagura Reflexions is the console on which it was brought. The title manages to exploit optimally the HD Rumble of Nintendo Switch, through which we will be able to clearly hear Asuka's heartbeat with each stimulation, our touch on her hands and many other certainly secondary effects, but well studied. A small praise also goes to the aesthetics, based on the graphics engine of the previous titles and which will certainly be pleasant, especially for those who appreciate the anime style.

Furthermore, the quantity of content present is certainly optimal for the price at which it is proposed (1000 yen in Japan became 10 dollars in America) and the possibility of unlocking a large amount of costumes and accessories for our protagonist is certainly an incentive to proceed in the title. The only one, to tell the truth, considering that already at the end of the first run Reflexions hits the gigantic wall of extreme repetitiveness.

Asuka's moans, which initially could also be a source of amusement, in the long run will raise a very heavy sense of embarrassment. Things to do will always be the same: stimulating different areas, we will unlock different endings that will complete the heart-shaped puzzle, at the end of which we will find the credits and nothing else.

An app, more than a real spin off. A random generator of discomfort, a softcore hentai that doesn't even give the satisfaction of being properly erotic. A title that we allow ourselves to recommend only to die-hard fans of the series, because anyone else might just find it embarrassing.

Senran Kagura Reflexions - Review

Senran Kagura Reflexions is an erotic game that has failed to be erotic. Although the console on which it was ported enhances some features and the price balanced to the amount of actual content, already at the end of the first run it will be repetitive and will not be able to entertain you for more than a couple of scarce hours. Recommended only for fans of the series, and maybe not even.
