Continuing in the story of Shenmue III, after various adventures the elderly Yeh will tell you to get on the bell tower in the center of the village of Bailu. Here you will find a couple of puzzles to solve that are not too difficult, but (as with the location of the Lao Jiu bottle) may take away your precious time if you are not very focused. So here we are with a practical guide to solve them quickly.
As the game itself warns, we too warn you to settle all your unfinished business in Bailu before climbing the bell tower, because after passing the puzzle the story will automatically move on to the next location.
The first puzzle will require you to enter i wooden tokens found in Elder Yeh's house in the cracks under the symbols drawn in the corners of the tower. Here are the correct pairings:
- Hand with open palm - Hand to fist
- Fenice - Drago
- Tartaruga - Tower crane
- Shield - Sword
- Sun - Moon
- Steamed ravioli - Jar of wine
Once you have inserted all the tokens you can move on to the upper level, where you will find the second puzzle. Just rotate the wooden structure in this order:
Left, left, left, right, right, right, left, left.
If you are playing on PlayStation 4 you will then have to press in sequence:
Circle, circle, circle, square, square, square, circle, circle.
Now that you have solved the two puzzles you can leave Bailu behind and continue in the story of Shenmue III.
