Despite missing more than a year from the launch of the game, Microsoft and Bethesda have already begun to unveil some elements of their Starfield. Thanks to the three videos “Location Insights”, gamers had a chance to digest the bitter mouthful of the near-absence of the Sci-Fi RPG at E3. These films, in fact, are dedicated to the deepening of the background of three of the major cities of the game: New Atlantis, Neon ed Akila.
New Atlantis, port city, it will be the capital of the United Colonies, the most powerful political and military faction in the game world. It will be a meeting place for citizens of all cultures and creeds, of inspiration immediately traceable to the United States in the real world. Following is the city of Neon, located in an aquatic world and where the focus of life is pure hedonism. A Neon, in fact, the consumption of a drug derived from a fish, which is illegal throughout the rest of the galaxy, is particularly widespread.
The last of the three locations, Akila, is presented as the capital of the Freestar Collective, a federation of three distinct solar systems. Akila it is a fortified city from which citizens rarely leave due to the abundance of predatory animals outside the walls. Like the other two locations, the video featured several concept art showing the metropolis, as well as details on the lore.
