It cannot be said that 2020 was a year to forget for Team Ninja with the release of the expected Nioh 2 but the boss of the studio, as well as director of Nioh, Fumihiko Yasuda reassures fans that there will be several announcements in 2021 regarding new titles.
This information comes from an interview with 4Gamer where Yasuda announced:
In February we will release Nioh 2 Remastered - The Complete Edition and Nioh Collection, which will feature everything related to the Nioh series, on PlayStation 5. I hope this is an opportunity for those who haven't played them to see how Nioh runs on a next generation console. We are also preparing several announcements regarding new Team Ninja titles for 2021, so please follow them!
At present we have no elements to understand what these new titles will be but, given the previous franchises of Team Ninja, it is possible it could be a new Dead or Alive or even a Ninja Gaiden, but a new IP cannot be excluded. To discover the announcements promised by Yasuda and his Team Ninja we just have to wait for the first months of 2021.
