The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for Nintendo Switch can be purchased on the Nintendo eShop. At the moment it comes with both the Complete Edition and the option to buy the base game and its DLC separately.
CD Projekt announced this change to offer more flexibility for everyone. Both versions of the game are available for now, but not for long as the Complete Edition will be removed from the store to make room for the base game and its expansions to be purchased separately.
The studio also reassured all Nintendo handheld console players that even if the Complete Edition is removed, it is possible to get the entire complete set for the same price.. In the future, the company would like to reintegrate a package that contains all products.
Anyone who has the Complete Edition will keep it. To prevent the game and its DLC from being purchased again, they will have a 100% discount when purchasing on Nintendo eShop. CD Projekt has created an FAQ for any questions you may have about rescues and purchased physical editions.
Players who have purchased the physical version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be able to safely play their version of the game and can safely re-download it even once removed. It is also possible to save Complete Edition files on Nintendo Switch and transfer them to PC. Once transferred to a PC, simply transfer all the files again to find the Complete Edition installed on the console.
