The editor Lightning Games and the developer ThinkingStars have postponed the release of ANNO: Mutationem from its release window scheduled for December 2020, to the third quarter of 2021 for the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. The PlayStation 5 version was recently announced.
“This is a very difficult decision, as we all love the game and can't wait to get it into the hands of our players, but we don't want to release the game until we feel ready. We plan to improve the overall game experience, which means that a large amount of game content needs to be reprogrammed and refined, ”Lightning Games said in a statement. "At the same time we will continue to optimize for the next generation."
YEAR: Mutationem will also arrive on PC via Steam, but specifics on a release date have yet to be announced.

Our team would like to express our sincere apologies for forcing you to wait a little longer for YEAR: Mutationem. After several weeks of discussions, we have decided to postpone the release date of the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro and PlayStation 5 versions to the third quarter of 2021.
