A Plague Tale: Innocence - How to defeat bosses

A Plague Tale: Innocence, developed by Asobo Studio and published by Focus Home Interactive, takes the player to XNUMXth-century France, torn apart by the conflict with the English Royal House of Plantagenets and the Plague epidemic, which started in Asia in the XNUMXs. . In the course of the story faced in the role of Amicia you will face three bosses, which could prove a bit tricky due to the limitations of the girl's equipment. Amicia, in fact, can only count on her sling and the fighting essentially depends on it.

On a general level it is advisable to upgrade it properly and make good use of resources even for alchemical ammunition. During the bossfight, however, it will be necessary to adopt some specific strategy in order to continue without too many hitches in the story.

    CONRAD

Conrad is the first boss faced by Amicia and serves to introduce the dodging technique. The latter, in fact, is essential to get rid of this imposing enemy without too much difficulty. When Conrad charges, delivering a heavy blow, Amicia will simply have to dodge and get behind him when he is pinned to the ground. In this way you can, from time to time, stretch the sling and hit the boss on the various parts of the armor. The player will be able to understand if the shot will hit by keeping an eye on the pointer, which should turn yellow. Once all Conrad's protections are removed, Amicia can hit him in the head and manage to escape with Hugo.

    NICHOLAS

The second boss that the two brothers will face is Nicholas, a member of the Inquisition and a follower of Vitalis. The clash takes place in a fairly narrow and circular space, but you can take advantage of the rats and alchemical ammunition. To be able to defeat Nicholas it is necessary to act with caution and not to be in a hurry. Amicia and Hugo will have to move between the shelters by extinguishing the braziers and torches. The important thing is to try to stay behind the boss so that you can extinguish his flaming sword and catch him off guard through the rats. Clearly there are three phases, but the strategy does not change.

    VITALIS

The Inquisitor is the last boss who will face the player in A Plague Tale: Innocence and certainly gives life to the most complicated battle. This fight also consists of three phases, the difficulty of which gradually increases. In the first part, you simply need to avoid a wave of white rats, before he can order Hugo to drive the rats he controls against Vitalis. After this operation, the inquisitor will be vulnerable and will have to be hit in the head with the slingshot. In the second phase Amicia will have to avoid whirlwinds of mice that come out of the ground below her. As in the previous case, when this happens it is best to head immediately to the left or right and leave the front path free. This allows you to quickly turn off the brazier that will be lit by Vitalis and not to be trapped. After asking for Hugo's help and hitting the enemy in the head for the second time, the last of the three phases will begin. The advice already given is valid for it, but it is necessary to be even faster, because the inquisitor's attacks will be much closer and faster. It should be noted that this time the braziers to be extinguished, to allow Hugo to eliminate Vitalis' shield and Amicia to deliver the final blow, will be two.
