Fans of the Let's Sing series will surely recognize the main game modes, in this case with a few extras to help experienced karaoke singers go beyond just starting songs. Online support is also well present, with rankings that will help you compare your scores with those of others, or why not challenge someone overseas. Local multiplayer is of course the aspect where any karaoke game really shines, and Let's Sing Queen has you covered big time.

Not only will you be able to play in "Let's Party" mode for teams of up to four players, but you can also sing in "Feat." Mode, that is, in harmony (hopefully) with other players if not Freddie and the rest of Queen (very appreciable the duet with David Bowie in Under Pressure).

Let's Sing Queen - Review

Mind you, this new chapter of Let's Sing it was not born to introduce anything revolutionary, but only to satisfy (rightly) the wishes of a large group of fans of the historic band. The dynamics already experienced in the Ravenscourt franchise work as one would expect. During our test we never encountered pairing problems when we used smartphones as microphones, and in the same way the recognition of tones and musical timing is more than precise. Furthermore, the work done, first on the music selection and then on the editing of the films surrounding the songs, is really of quality. An underlying perplexity remains, probably linked to a technological complexity that implies a difficult implementation, at least for current hardware.

We refer to the speech recognition of pronunciation, which on karaoke versions of foreign songs can make a difference in terms of song rendering. In fact, it will certainly happen that, while showing off your fluent English, you find yourself badly losing a match against those who, on the other hand, emit only vocalizations or chew incomprehensible but well-tuned sentences. This is because the software recognizes only tones and not phrases. It will be the introduction of a Let's Sing in next-gen sauce? We'll see… for now The (karaoke) show must go on!

In essence, this is the spirit with which to approach Let's Sing Queen by Ravenscourt. The technical measures or innovations that are now ripe to be introduced do not (rightly) concern karaoke lovers that much. Those who choose such a title do so for the atmosphere it can create especially in the family and convivial environment, and in this case they are certainly also a lover of Queen, to whom the title still makes an excellent tribute.
