Among all materials that can be accumulated by exploring the worlds of No Man's Sky theIridium it is certainly among the rarest and most useful. This important resource will be available in very limited quantities on the planets and must therefore be sought in other ways. As already specified in the introduction, this special material will hardly be located on the crust of the various planets, in fact, it will be sought in space.
Wandering with your spaceship you can destroy the various asteroids that float in the great black (purple, green or orange, in short, it depends on the system where you will be) obtaining fragments of various materials. By destroying these rocks you will get in most cases the Thamium9, but paying attention to the shape of the asteroid you could find some Iridium.
Asteroids containing Iridium are very different from those filled with Thamium9. The Iridium deposits will in fact be much smoother and more regular than those of Thamium9, which are instead jagged and rough. By destroying these rocks you will gain a lot of Gladion quickly. As with any other material in No Man's Sky, the same rule applies here too: if you find even a single Iridium asteroid it means that there are others nearby.
Although it is very difficult it is possible to find Iridium even on dry land. The deposits placed on the planets are very often large arch-shaped rock formations. Once you have identified one (help yourself with the scan of course) stock it up and don't leave even a particle.
