Destiny 2: Black Armory: how to level and beat the Forge

Destiny 2: Black Armory: how to level and beat the Forge

Destiny 2's new DLC, Black Armory, or Black Armory if you prefer, has already been out for two days. Despite conflicting opinions on whether it is a true DLC, all players are striving to reach a higher level faster to try their hand at the World's Raid Race scheduled for tomorrow, Friday 7 December.

The level cap of this DLC amounts to 650 light, 50 more than Destiny 2: Forsaken, released last September. Many content creators, both on Twitch and Youtube, have already managed to reach level 625 in just two days, a very difficult undertaking for us considering the limited time we have available compared to them.

We can, however, give some tips for the next few weeks to try to level up at a good pace:

    1. Completing Milestones: Milestones are always useful for obtaining powerful armament for leveling. In this regard, we advise you not to redeem them immediately, but to level them with rare and common items. Better to open such a drop at 607 rather than 601, as that gap can be bridged by other less rare drops.
    2. Complete Old Raids: Never abandon previous raids. They can be useful for recovering missing pieces of armament and light points, especially if you weren't at 600 light before Black Armory.
    3. Complete the DLC missions and follow the new quests, such as that of the new machine gun, which is always an upgrade as regards the heavy weapon.
    4. Try the new Forge mode: although there has been a heated debate since Destiny about the recommended light level, do not be intimidated: despite the forge being 625 of light, many guardians in groups have already completed it even at less than 610. The winning weapon is coordination.

As for the Forge, we recommend using a mixed team of support super and DPS (damage per seconds) to defeat Volundr: arrows of the hunters and crashes of the titans, combined with a good sniper as powerful as the pounding spindle, will give you a big help. What does the level of the enemies matter when they don't have time to spawn, being already annihilated left and right?

Recall that Black Forge is definitely an interesting update to keep the community attached to the game which, through the annual season pass, will never leave us without content.
