With last year's release, Devil May Cry 5 has taken over with a new entry into the action franchise for both fans of the series and newcomers alike. If you missed the game or want to relive it with the new generation polish, Dante's latest adventure will return to next-generation platforms during the holiday season.
During the PS5 Showcase of Sony, Capcom has revealed that this party is coming a new iteration of DMC5 called Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition. The trailer highlighted that, along with the original game, the special edition will include the ability to play as Dante's brother Vergil and apparently will include new story content and other additional features, such as Turbo mode, the legendary dark knight and the support for ray tracing. Capcom also noted on the PlayStation Blog that with Ray Tracing enabled, the title can support 4K / 30fps to prioritize resolution, or 1080p / 60fps to prioritize the framerate. The Special Edition will also include a mode High Framerate which supports playback up to 120 fps.
Capcom confirmed after the presentation that Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition will be available at launch for both PS5 and Xbox Series X in November, but will initially be available as a title digital only for $ 39,99. The publisher explained that a physical version of the game will arrive at a later date for both platforms.

In addition to the release of the title for next-generation platforms, Capcom also added that owners of the original game on PS4, Xbox One and PC will be able to play as Vergil with a paid DLC.
Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition will be available at launch for both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
