Dissidia Final Fantasy NT: Antagonists EX moves guide

And here we are back to talking about Dissidia Final Fantasy NT, this time with a focus on the antagonists. As there is good, light, harmony, in the same way there is evil, darkness, chaos, and to oppose the chosen ones of Cosmos, the warriors of Chaos, the God of Discord, have also returned in this Dissidia.

Following the guide on the heroes, therefore, we will go to briefly see the style of play of the cast of antagonists together with the description of the effect of their EX skill.

    Garland

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT: Antagonists EX moves guide

Let's start talking about Garland, who could be defined as the exact opposite of the Warrior of Light: a character who lives on the front line, in direct contact with enemies. Garland in fact has the specialty of strengthening when it hits enemies with multiple consecutive attacks, increasing its offensive power. His EX ability, Soul of Chaos, allows him to trap an enemy and continuously deal damage to them, offering an important chance for allies to seriously damage him or simply focus on other characters.

    The emperor

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT: Antagonists EX moves guide

The Emperor is a Shooter who requires a certain technique to be used to the maximum. It is not enough to press the attack buttons and hope to do damage, in fact, as it is able to both manually choose the launch position of some of its moves, and to create various traps around the field in order to catch off guard the enemies. His EX ability, Shooting Star, drops a series of meteors across the field, but there's more: the last meteor to fall will briefly immobilize enemies that are hit by it, making them easily punishable with a PV attack.

    Dark Cloud

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT: Antagonists EX moves guide

Cloud Dark is another particular character: after a certain period of being in the field, in fact, it will be surrounded and consumed by the darkness that will improve and enhance its attacks Daring. This certainly does not mean that in his normal Dark Cloud form he is a weak character, also because thanks to his EX Wave of Darkness ability he will be able to temporarily reach his empowered state at any momentor, thus taking advantage of improved attacks or firing a powerful laser beam.

    Golbez

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT: Antagonists EX moves guide

Golbez will start the game accompanied by his Black Dragon: along with it both his Daring attacks and his VP attacks are really dangerous and allow him to attack without exposing himself; when it takes enough damage, however, the Black Dragon will vanish and Golbez will be greatly weakened. Using his EX Black Dragon ability when charged, he can summon it, gaining the attack buff again, otherwise if the Black Dragon is already present his EX ability becomes Cold Word, a devastating ice attack aimed at the foe's feet that freezes everything it touches.

    Exdeath

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT: Antagonists EX moves guide

This dark wizard is an incredibly versatile character: by pressing L3 he will be able to change form, obtaining new abilities for each form. Its forms are three: Offensive, Denial and Anathema. In Offensive form, his attacks deal more damage and are more difficult to interrupt; In Denial form, his attacks charge EX gauge faster, while in Bane form his attacks will inflict attack debuffs, defense, and movement speed on enemies.

Exdeath also has three EX abilities, one for each form: in Offensive form, he can use the EX Black Hole ability, a short-range attack that applies a debuff to the hit enemy, which quickly drains his Boldness over time; the only way to get rid of it is to land a HP attack or suffer a collapse. In Denial form, her EX ability becomes Power of Nothingness, a dangerous area debuff around Exdeath that prevents enemies inside from using any EX ability. Finally, in Bane form his EX ability is White Hole, an ability that makes him truly fearsome: thanks to White Hole, in fact, Exdeath will be able to apply debuffs even when it is in the other two forms, while in Bane form the debuffs inflicted will further decrease the statistics of the enemies hit.

    Kefka Palace

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT: Antagonists EX moves guide

The crazy Kefka has a very special fighting style in this game too. His Audacity attacks are difficult to predict, as they change behavior suddenly or randomly, such as electric bursts surrounding him and then being fired at enemies or a fireball that sometimes flies straight and sometimes pursues the enemy. Additionally, his HP attacks can inflict debuffs on enemies hit, making them useful at all times. Finally his EX ability, Cruel Angel, inflicts additional debuffs on nearby enemies and, if the ability is charged, increases the number of debuffs dealt even more.

We also want to mention the fact that Kefka can mock enemies by pressing the touchpad, an action that adds insult to damage and even increases her Boldness by a random number.

    Sephiroth

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT: Antagonists EX moves guide

Sephiroth is a character who honors his Attacker class: his unique ability allows him to cancel attack animations and start shooting, allowing him to create long and devastating combos of attacks against ill-prepared enemies. Jenova, her EX ability, is further devoted to this: using it Sephiroth creates a field around him that slows down enemy movements, making the enemy escape or counter attack exponentially more difficult to perform, while his combos will become much easier to initiate.

    Artemisia

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT: Antagonists EX moves guide

As we said about Terra for Heroes, Artemisia is a reasonably straightforward Shooter and a good choice to start with. His attacks are in fact simple and very fast, and unlike Terra, he is able to strengthen his attack if he hits enemies with consecutive attacks. Using her EX ability, Maelstrom, Artemisia will cast a dark sphere which, after moving slowly for a while, stops, enlarges and finally explodes.

    Kuja

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT: Antagonists EX moves guide

Kuja is, strangely, a character who can get by on his own in fights, but at the same time very important for team play. Thanks to his varied attacks, in fact, Kuja is able to keep enemies at bay, moving them away from himself or blocking them completely, thus giving them time to punish them or to relocate them to a safer place. Her EX ability, Spirit Split, is a team buff: Kuja and nearby allies will then receive a boost to either attack, or defense, or movement speed, while Kuja will briefly charge the EX skill bar faster.

What makes Kuja really useful is that the more you use Spiritual Split, the stronger it becomes: the second use it will increase two stats to Kuja and allies, while the third will increase all three. From the third use onwards, therefore, the EX skill will always increase all three attributes, making the team much more difficult to beat. It should be noted, however, that these effects will wear off once Kuja is defeated.

    Jecht

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT: Antagonists EX moves guide

Jecht is an extremely aggressive character, able to make incredibly long combos and then easily finish enemies with the accumulated Audacity. His EX ability, Dribbling, is in fact as simple as it is powerful: using this ability Jecht can cancel any ability and return to a neutral state, giving him the ability to initiate or continue a new combo of audacity attacks to leave enemies relentlessly. In addition, one of his Boldness attacks is a parry that, if used with the right timing, can further disorient the enemies trying to counterattack, giving Jecht yet another chance to torment opponents.

And so our Dissidia Final Fantasy NT character guides conclude. Again we remind you that in our game review we analyzed the game more in depth, in case you or your friends need a reason to tip the scales towards buying the game.
