Dragon Quest XII is shown for the first time in a teaser trailer.
The announcement everyone was waiting for has arrived and, finally, we have the Dragon Quest XII logo and teaser trailer:
The game will be called Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate and was announced during the Square Enix digital event for the 35th anniversary of the historic JRPG series.
Obviously, there is not much news about this title yet. So let's go in order and start from what we surely know.
Yuji Horii, creator of the series, spoke of a simultaneous world release and a fighting style that will not be the traditional turn-based one.
In this regard, we are very curious because the Dragon Quest series has always been very conservative from this point of view.
Additionally, the storyline will be grim and full of mature content, with the player forced to make important decisions over the course of the game.
Here the official news stops and speculations start. For example, it is very likely that the title will be available both on next-gen consoles and on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, given the large slice of the public fond of the brand.
On the release date, however, we prefer not to go too far. However, we are sure that Square Enix will give us new information soon.
