The CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, Jim Ryan, discussed in an interview how Sony has decided to grow his studies instead of spending a lot of money and buying external software houses like Microsoft products did it with Bethesda.
Jim Ryan said: “I think the way Sony has decided to grow their development capabilities during this generation has not been so appreciated and understood. Obviously the acquisition of Insomniac Games helped this growth and it's wonderful that they are part of Sony. I would like to invite users to look at the last generation launch line-up and compare it with that of PlayStation 5. There is simply no comparison. It didn't help to spend a lot of money, instead we tried to achieve organic growth. The best example I can give is N, who has always made great video games. Or the success of Ghost Of Tsushima.
