The Continent of Orience gives you the ability to get your hands on a total of 43 gems l'Cie. Most of them can be recovered by completing secondary tasks in the main cities, but another large number of gems will have to be found for the world map. Each gem contains within itself the last thoughts of the l'Cie to which it refers, but to discover them you will first have to give it to Atra, a traveler from Lorica who will be waiting for you in the city of Iscah.

Once all the l'Cie gems have been obtained, Atra will open a shop in the Night Bazaar, selling very interesting accessories (at exaggerated prices) which will however allow you to face any difficulty, at the expense of the accumulation of experience: all objects they do not allow you to accumulate ESP, but you certainly won't miss them.
