    AOC AGON AG272FCX6 - Review

AOC AGON AG272FCX6, heir and updated version of the AG272FCX monitor, represents the ideal model for gamers, especially for fans of MMORPG, Action and Racing or Sim games. This product has a 27 inch MVA panel and features a subtle 1800R curvature. These features are the perfect tools to fully immerse yourself in gameplay thanks to the maximum refresh rate and resolution of the panel, respectively of 165 Hz (compared to 144 Hz of AG272FCX) and 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD).

The monitor will arrive in a rigid and consistent box and is extremely well protected by a polystyrene casing. Inside the box there is the monitor, the AOC Ergo Base pedestal, the power supply, a 1.8 meter HDMI cable, a 1.8 meter DisplayPort cable and the attached manuals.

As far as the installation of the monitor is concerned, the procedures to be carried out are shown in the manuals and are very simple: using a screwdriver it is possible to carry out the various steps and making mistakes is difficult.

In addition there are three USB ports (two of which 3.0) in order to power various devices or charge your smartphone during long gaming sessions. Furthermore, as regards the audio sector, there are two 3.5 mm jack outputs and two 3 W speakers; the latter are able to guarantee a crystal clear and clear sound, certainly not suitable for competitive gaming but more suitable for less frenetic video games in which audio is not a fundamental point such as FIFA 20.

The monitor in question is equipped with a Micro USB connector used exclusively for the proprietary controller. The QuickSwitch wired controller included in the box offers quick access to AOC Game Modes game modes (for FPS, Racing or RTS, and three customizable preset modes) without fiddling with the OSD, using the 5-way joystick at the bottom of the display .

The total lack of physical keys is compensated for by this controller: at first it will not be very intuitive but once you have carried out various tests and trials, the mechanism by which to navigate the OSD menu will be simple.

The dimensions are 612 x 574 x 266.5 mm and the absence of frames in the front comes in sharp contrast with the back where the characteristic RGB LEDs are located, giving the monitor a mix of elegance and aggressiveness at the same time. The LEDs have three levels of light intensity in different colors including red, green and blue. On the back there is also a small stand for earphones and a handle that allows easy transport.

Who writes and has tested the monitor has not felt any eyestrain even after several hours of use and also the light coming from external sources (such as a window) does not alter the quality of the image.
