Among the ruins on the island of Thera is a secret waiting to be revealed by your Alexios (or your Kassandra). In this guide you will find out how to open the door and solve some puzzles to complete the “A Family Legacy” quest in Assassin's Creed Odyssey.
First, sail to the island from the north to be able to land on the coast. Call Ikaros, and you will learn of a camp just south of your current location.
The camp is located on a small hill. Make your way up to the Quest pointer and open the chest you find nearby. You will be assigned the task of opening the giant door nearby, however, as soon as you attempt to open it, you will find that it is locked and there is no way to force it.
So let's work to solve this puzzle. Head south from your position to where you can see some beams of light if you look up at the sky. Going up the hill nearby you will find a ruined area with some mirrors capable of reflecting. Once here, Alexios will show you that you are in the right area. Break the boards in front of the mirrors in the south wall to proceed.
Going forward you will have a similar puzzle, but this time you have to break the planks that are in the Northwest corner. Once this is done, use the zipline to move to the next area, where a new puzzle awaits you.
In the image below we show you the correct arrangement of the blocks.
First, move the block with the top fabric a little east, just enough to be out of the light beams. Next, move the block closest to the north mirror all the way east. Finally, move the block on the other side all the way north. Once this is done, the next area should open towards the North-West.
In this new area you will not need to move all the blocks, only the 3 that are further north. In the screen below, find out how to set the blocks in question.
You can finally proceed via the stairs leading down below, but watch out for the snakes. When you reach a dark room, break the boards to complete the puzzle. In the new room, use the Leap of Faith to the large hole you see and make the rest of the way by swimming towards a cave until you reach a large hall. Climb the east wall where you see a light and continue until you reach a room with lava.
Now climb into the wall to the west and jump between the various stone blocks.
You will recognize the right path if you find a rope thrown on the ground nearby. Continue climbing through the rock wall and reach the next room, where you will have to jump once again with the Leap of Faith. Swim forward and then emerge to reach a huge hall to go all straight until a series of dialogues begin.
