Let's not turn around: there is a lot of anticipation for 2021. 2020 was full of moments of crisis, especially thanks to the outbreak of the pandemic. With projects delayed and events canceled, everyone is hoping 2021 will change things for the better. Likewise, as 2020 was filled with so many delays, there are a lot of video games ready to come out.

One of the companies that hopes to have great success not only in 2021 but moving forward with this latest generation of games is Microsoft. With the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S available on the market, all you need now is a stable line up of video games to enjoy. Additionally, Microsoft recently reached an agreement with ZeniMax Media. This agreement will bring Microsoft a variety of game development studios, one of them being Bethesda.

Bethesda is a studio known for the Fallout franchise and The Elder Scrolls. These two iconic series have been around for years and now the company has been absorbed by Microsoft. The deal is expected to be finalized this year, but it is not clear when it will be formalized. Fortunately, those who are wondering if the series would be removed from other platforms can rest assured: Microsoft does not intend to remove these games from competing platforms.

However, that doesn't mean Bethesda isn't something Microsoft has big plans for. Recently the head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, spoke of Bethesda in Larry Hryb's Xbox podcast. Spencer pointed out that at the time there are no ongoing dialogues with Bethesda, since the agreement must first be finalized, but he nevertheless stressed that Bethesda's development teams will be critical to the company's future. Regarding the near future, however, he expressed his particular appreciation for the video games coming from the software house in question.
