Blitz: Minigames - Review

Review for Blitz: Minigames. Game for Android and iOS, the video game was released on 24/04/2018

Video games have been present in our daily life for several decades, first in a home version and later in a portable version; just this last category has conquered the public (of gamers and not) in a rapid way. All this especially in the last five years, in which everyone has come into possession of a smartphone, and by downloading a large amount of free-to-play titles from the Play Store and the iOS App Store: in short, those of you who have never played a game of Fruit Ninja or Clash of Clans?

Blitz: Minigames - Review

Today we are just here to introduce you to a new game for Android and iOS called Blitz: Minigames. As you can guess from the title, it is a collection of minigames lasting one minute each; reflexes and a good dose of concentration are essential. Launched the game, you will find yourself in the classic menu present in every game; this presents five screens:

  1. Daily activity: Here you can see the completed rounds and your daily stats on the various categories of minigames.
  2. Notifications: where you can start a new game, redeem your daily prize, play the tutorial and search for an opponent.
  3. Challenges in progress: the screen where you will find the games that have yet to be completed.
  4. Ended challenges: a roundup of completed games, with their results and statistics, where you can even ask your opponent for a rematch.
  5. Minigames: the list of the various activities unlocked during your stay in the game (unlockable with gems and stars, but we will return to the topic later).

Blitz: Minigames - Review

Blitz: Minigames allows you to challenge yourself asynchronously and test yourself against randomly chosen people, friends and Facebook friends; after the victory you will get some stars, which, as mentioned above, will allow you to unlock other challenges. Because yes, some are already available from the start, but to access other activities you will have to meet the requirements in terms of stars, gems and level. The challenges are divided into four categories: memory, skill, calculation and reactivity. With your victories, and consequently with the level ups, you will be able to unlock different types of challenges, in which you will bet more stars and, at the same time, you will be able to win many more, up to the maximum level (36) .

As for the graphics sector, it is definitely suitable for a title of this kind: classic, but above all minimal and colorful. Instead, there are several jingles in the game, but after a few rounds they can be repetitive and annoying for some users; similarly, Blitz: Minigames cannot last long, since after several encounters, and maybe even days of play, the title will start to get bored with its usual 17 mini-games (without excluding that in the future this number may grow) and the operation to farm the different stars, gems and levels needed to unlock the new minigames and the new game categories.

Blitz: Minigames performs well its "function" as a mobile game, useful for killing short dead times within the day. It manages to involve both the most competitive players and the "casual" gamers, as it does not require a great deal of effort or large amounts of time, offering itself as a quick and effective pastime.
