Collection of SaGa Final Fantasy Legend announced

    To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the series Saga, Square Enix today announced that Collection of SaGa Final Fantasy Legend will land on Nintendo Switch.

    In a single digital collection, players will be able to discover the first three titles of the SaGa series:

    • The Final Fantasy Legend
    • Final Fantasy Legend II
    • Final Fantasy Legend III

    Created by Akitoshi Kawazu and originally released on the Game Boy in 1989, longtime fans will be able to discover a faithful re-creation of these historic 8-bit titles and embark on a pioneering adventure full of nostalgia.

    Available for the first time in Europe, Collection of SaGa Final Fantasy Legend is a fantastic introduction to this essential series that RPG fans cannot afford to miss, allowing them to embark on journeys to fantasy worlds, face monsters, explore dungeons and much more by taking advantage of the new features designed to improve the overall experience, including:

    • Increased character speed
    • Adjustable screen magnification
    • Retro view mode to replicate the original Game Boy experience
    • New commemorative music and illustrations

    Collection of SaGa Final Fantasy Legend announced

    Additional features include a special anniversary music piece, 8 different game backgrounds and the ability to play with Japanese or English text. The Final Fantasy Legend was the first RPG made for the Game Boy and in its honor it will be possible to disconnect the Joy-ConTM controllers and hold the console vertically, using the on-screen controls to replicate the authentic Game Boy-style experience.



    COLLECTION of SaGa FINAL FANTASY LEGEND will be available for Nintendo Switch digitally only starting December 15, 2020.
