Another thick title joins the ranks of postponed and to give the news was the developer himself. Remedy Entertainment has indeed confirmed the delayed release at the beginning of 2021 of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S versions of Control: Ultimate Edition.
The news that unfortunately did not make many fans happy was communicated via Twitter, where the producer adds:
We want the final quality of the game to be fantastic, so we need a little more time to work on it. Thanks for your understanding and patience!
The arrival of Jessie Faden's adventure on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S was announced in June of this year and, sadly, the news was met with some controversy. Indeed Remedy Entertainment has specified that Control upgrade on next generation consoles is available for free at launch only for those who have previously purchased the Ultimate Edition of the game. We remind you that this version includes both dlc, The Foundation and AWE.
An update from the development team: Control Ultimate Edition will arrive on next generation platforms early 2021.

Control is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and also on Nintendo Switch thanks to a new Cloud version. To enjoy the title in next-gen sauce we will therefore have to wait a little longer.
