Dirt 5: PS5 date still uncertain

As reiterated several times, the PS5 will be released on 12st November in some areas of the world and the 19st November everywhere, but apparently the release date of Dirt 5 it will certainly not be simultaneously. Sure, the rally racing title will be one of many third-party cross-platform games that will launch as cross-gen versions, but it hasn't yet been confirmed as a launch title for the new Sony console.

Dirt 5: PS5 date still uncertain

The development team essentially stated that the launch date for the PS5 version of DiRT 5 hasn't actually been decided yet. In the meantime, it has instead been confirmed that it will support free next-generation updates on PlayStation, but will not allow players to transfer their save data from the PS4 version. Any creation in Playground mode will carry over, but any other progress, such as currency earned, liveries saved, progress in Career mode, will be ignored. Something similar in fact will also happen on other titles, as reported last week for the Yakuza saga.

DiRT 5 will run stably at 4K - 60 FPS, with an optional mode that will boost the frame rate up to 120 FPS. It will be released for PS4, Xbox One and PC on 6st November, for Xbox Series X and Series S the 10st November and for Stadia in 2021. Further news, Codemasters says, will arrive shortly only when certainties are made.
