As we told you in our review, Dragon Ball FighterZ literally overflows with references taken directly from the original work of Akira Toriyama. In such a faithful title, therefore, the iconic Dragon Balls needed to evoke the almighty (or almost) Dragon Shenron could not be missing.
In this guide, we explain the simple mechanics with which you can collect the orbs during combat and the benefits of summoning.
Collect the spheres
The collection of balls will be automatic with the execution of combos of various lengths. Depending on the length of the combo you will receive a specific sphere, so you will not be able to get them all by always performing the same. Below we list the requirements to obtain the respective spheres:
- 1 Star Ball: 10-19 hit combo
- 2 Star Ball: 20-29 hit combo
- 3 Star Ball: 30-39 hit combo
- 4 Star Ball: 40-49 hit combo
- 5 Star Ball: 50-59 hit combo
- 6 Star Ball: 60-69 hit combo
- 7-star sphere: combo 70 hits and up
Of course doing such long combos is not easy at all, but that's no problem, because alternatively you can get any orbs (randomly) even performing an auto-combo of light attacks. Once you have collected all the orbs, to summon Shenron you will need to have all 7 Ki bars full and perform a light auto-combo on the opponent. At that point the summon will start automatically.
Wishes
Once it appears, Shenron will ask you what wish to make, at which point you will have four options to choose from within a time limit of a few seconds:
- Bring my ally back to life: makes a fighter on your team who has been knocked out, but with 20% health, playable again.
- Restore my health: the character on the field at that moment will recover all the health bar.
- Make me immortal: no, you will not truly become immortal. 5% of your health bar will be restored and your Meteor bar will be fully restored.
- Give me absolute power: your Ki bar will be filled to the maximum and you will be given a second Sparking Blast icon, so you can use it a second time.
