This is Jon Marcella, a former senior game designer from Santa Monica. In particular, Marcella worked as a level designer for the latest acclaimed God of War dealing with the backgrounds, spaces dedicated to fighting and design of the puzzles.

At Retro Studios, he will take on the role of environment designer, so we expect that, again, he will take care of the design of the game environments.

Metroid Prime 4, we recall, was announced in the now distant E3 2017 during the Nintendo Direct. The project was then canceled during early 2019 and started from scratch by assigning it to Retro Studios, the team behind the original trilogy.

To date there is no news about a possible release date, but we're sure Retro Studios is going to great lengths to one day deliver us the best Metroid Prime the studio can make.

What do you think of it? Are you also eagerly awaiting the return of Samus on Nintendo Switch? As always, we invite you to tell us in the comments.
