Mewtwo It is one of Legendary Pokémon that, thanks to the latest DLC The Snowy Lands of the Crown, can finally be obtained also in Pokémon Sword and Shield. Always considered as one of the strongest creatures in the Pokémon universe, let's see how to find and defeat number 150 of the Pokédex.
Mewtwo was already available with an event at the beginning of the year, a battle during which, however, there was no possibility to capture it. Today, however, they are basically there two ways to get Mewtwo: the first, which is the simplest, consists inuse Pokémon Home to import it into Sword and Shield. The second, longer and much more laborious, instead involves participating in the Dynamax adventures and try to get to the end, where with a bit of luck you can also find Mewtwo.
To best deal with Mewtwo, a Pokémon with one of the highest special attacks in the game, you must first participate in this battle with a team of 3 other players, avoiding filling vacancies with CPU-controlled coaches, which would end up succumb to the creature's psycho attacks. Secondly, it is good to have a Pokémon that can use moves like Light Screen, which allows you to better collect special attacks.
Type moves spectrum, dark and beetle are super effective on the legendary. Type Pokémon should be avoided poison (weak to psycho attacks) and type earth, grass, steering wheel and dragon, weak to the Bora ice-type move that Mewtwo can use. Finally, it is recommended to use Pokémon with multiple super-effective moves, with Mewtwo having the ability Pressure which consumes an additional 1PP for each attack, a factor that could create problems especially if you have moves from the few PP. For battle, Pokémon such as Zacian, Absol, Klefki, Grimmsnarl, Dragapult, or Golisopod can be useful, trying to heal themselves as soon as the opportunity arises.
