In new video games Sword and Shield Pokémon You can get the New Species Pokémon Mew. The Mythical Pokémon is only obtainable with the Poké Ball Plus.
If Mew has already been redeemed in Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee, it is not possible to redeem it in Pokémon Sword and Shield, except by buying a new Poké Ball Plus accessory. Alternatively, you can wait for the release of Pokémon Home to exchange Pokémon of other generations and those in the PokéBank, in this new version.
The Pokémon can be obtained and downloaded in the copy of the video game through the function of the Secret Gift:
- Connect your console to the internet.
- Open the main menu and select "Secret Gift" and "Go for a walk with the Poké Ball Plus".
- Connect the Poké Ball Plus as your controller.
- Wait for the Pokémon to be downloaded.
This Pokémon cannot be caught in the video game so the only way to get it is to purchase the necessary accessory separately.
