Sony opens up the possibility of a service similar to the Xbox Game Pass. This is the sentence of Jim Ryan, CEO of Sony, which has not gone unnoticed by the videogame press.
Enunciated to the microphones of TASS, a Russian agency that had the opportunity to interview Ryan a few days after the launch of PlayStation 5 (available to the privileged from November 19), it concerned precisely Sony's response to Microsoft's subscription, nicknamed “the Netflix of video games”.

It therefore seems that the competitor in blue is preparing the ground for a service that will outperform those already available, namely the PlayStation Now and the PlayStation Plus Collection. Briefly, the first is a streaming service, thus requiring an internet connection to play, while the PlayStation Plus Collection is a novelty that offers some of the most significant games of the past generation in the PlayStation Plus package.
Along these lines, Ryan said he doesn't like the term “console war”, instead appreciating the fact that there is competition, which pushes them to work harder and give the consumer more choice.
The CEO also dwelt briefly on the price issue - games like the Demon's Souls remake are around 80 euros per list, for example - thinking that it is a modest increase and in any case destined to happen, given that prices they were stable.
In summary, there is a more than tangible possibility that even Sony players can have a service like Xbox Game Pass, currently among the most praised on the market for its quality-price ratio, so much so that the same company to promote it perhaps more than Xbox Series S / X hardware.
