Announced last October, R-Type Final 2 has an official launch date set for April 30, 2021 on Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S. Confirmation from NIS America comes via a new trailer:
Successor to R-Type Final, this famous franchise where a spaceship takes on hordes of enemies, returns with advanced 3D graphics and modern features, while maintaining the frenzy and experience that has always characterized the shoot'em up series.
Among the novelties it should be noted the universal Challenge system that adapts the difficulty system based on each player's individual experience, making the title accessible to both genre novices and veterans alike.
R-Type Final 2 will feature a full spacecraft customization system, including aesthetic elements such as colors and decals. Similarly, when choosing the player's alter-ego driver, it will be possible to choose from dozens of characters.
The title will be distributed by Koch Media, therefore an appointment with R-Type Final 2 for April 30, 2021.
