Another title will soon be added to those optimized for the new Microsoft console: Samurai Shodown will arrive on March 16, 2021 on Xbox Series X in physical and digital versions as well as via smart delivery for those who own the copy of the Xbox One edition. The announcement came via a trailer released on YouTube.
Through a video message, available below, the director of Samurai Shodown Hayato Konya wanted to highlight some of the new features available for Xbox Series X and S:
First of all you will have high specs that will allow you to play at 120fps! The title normally runs at 60 fps but will now be able to move at double the frames for even smoother gameplay. […] Of course Samurai Shodown will support Smart Delivery, this means that if you have purchased an Xbox One copy you will get the upgrade to Xbox Series X and S! All downloadable content and saves can be transferred, so don't worry about upgrading!
Finally Konya pointed out that Samurai Shodown will arrive on Xbox Series X via a physical and digital version, in both Europe and North America. The physical version will contain Rimuru, Basara, Kazuki and Wan-Fu from Season Pass 1 while Season Pass 3 will be available at the launch of the optimized version for the new Microsoft console and will include a game update with some balance changes.
