We had the opportunity to talk to you in depth about the new The Last of us: Part II in our review; today though we want to help you in the search for coins. Naughty Dog has hidden different types of collectibles to collect, and among these we find these quarters of dollars relating to the different states of America. Fortunately, not all states were included, so instead of being 50 it is 32 coins scattered in the various areas of Seattle and within the different levels. Before continuing we warn you that this guide will try to be as free as possible from spoilers, although we still recommend that you consult it once you have finished the main story and you are facing the second run to conquer the platinum trophy.

In Day 1 of The Last of Us: Part II, most of the coins are hidden; there are in fact a total of 17 quarters of dollar well hidden in the various levels. So let's start with the first coin which, to be exact, is found in Abby's prologue.
Seattle Day 1
The park
1) Virginia: in the park you will come to a point where to continue you will be required to pass a closed gate; to do this you will have to climb on the roof of a small building using some garbage bins. The first coin will be placed right along the side of one of these.
Stadium
2) Alaska: after collecting the backpack and leaving your room, all you have to do is look for this coin on the ground, on the left, near some piles of wood.
3) Maine: from the last coin continue to follow your companions until you reach a concrete staircase between two wooden platforms; the coin will be hidden on one of the right benches.
4) New Jersey: after interacting with the dog you will have to head towards the tunnel to exit the stadium; here you will find a large mural depicting a wolf; the coin will be placed on the ground, at the foot of the representation.
5) Vermont: continuing you will reach a shooting range (where, eventually, you can also practice), here you will find the coin inside a locker.
On foot
6) Kentucky: as soon as you arrive in the shop you will find a gray table on your right; the coin will be there waiting for you.
7) Massachusetts: this coin will be placed next to the last cash register in the garden center, more precisely in the far left part of the building.
8) Ohio: at a certain point, near a yacht under construction, you will find a ladder that you can move; all you have to do is lift it and place it on the wall behind you in order to go up to an elevated floor and find the coin placed on a table.
9) Indiana: as soon as you leave the garage you will see a small closed building; to access it all you have to do is break one of the windows and then find the coin on a desk.
The forward base
10 ) California: as soon as you get off the truck, all you have to do is look for a group of soldiers talking near a railing; the coin will be placed just behind it.
11 ) New Mexico: after passing the gate, instead of continuing towards the tent, look for another group of soldiers and pass them by heading towards the chemical toilets; the coin will be placed on one of the crates nearby.
12 ) South Carolina: once you pass the medical tent you will find yourself in a hotel; at the entrance there will be two people intent on playing and you will find the coin on the same table but on the opposite side from them.
Hostile territory
13 ) North Dakota: after passing the Chinese clothing store you can get on a camper on the opposite side and from here enter an open window; the coin will be hidden inside a desk drawer.
The coast
14 ) Alabama: as soon as you pass the cargo depot and climb the bridge (using other collapsed parts of the bridge itself) you can find this coin near some destroyed vehicles and next to a corpse.
15 ) West Virginia: while exploring the stranded ship, all you have to do is go up to the second floor and from here turn immediately right and then right again to find the coin next to a teddy bear at the end of the corridor.
16 ) Utah: After having managed to get out of the ship (climbing a ladder to its top) you simply have to turn around and jump to the opposite side to find the coin hidden behind the first blowhole.
17 ) Mississippi: Before entering the aquarium you can find the last coin of Day 1 inside the large fountain in front of the building.

Seattle Day 2
The shortcut
18 ) Nevada: after passing the aquarium you will end up reaching a waterfall; to its right you will find a barber shop and inside you will find the hidden coin near the cash register.
19 ) Colorado: during the "platforming" phase with the rapids you will end up first reaching a building with the "Interbay" sign, then entering through a broken window in a second building. Once inside you will immediately find in the room a painting with an eye and, to the right of the latter, a second broken window; at this point all you have to do is lean out slightly to find a window sill below you on which the coin will be located.
The downhill
20 ) Illinois: You will find this coin at the bottom of the hotel pool, near the drain filter.
21 ) Oregon: during this phase you will come to a point where you will first have to cross two beams and then jump onto a platform below you. After making this jump, instead of continuing, all you have to do is turn around and jump to the opposite side through an open door to find the coin immediately on your right.
22 ) Wisconsin: when you arrive practically on the ground floor of this session, you will have to exit the elevator door and immediately on your left you will see some machines. Now hit the vending machine to find this coin.
23 ) Rhode Island: Once you have exited the building and taken off your gas masks, you can find this coin behind the central counter in the open space in front of you.
24 ) Missouri: you will have to swim to the hospital; once you arrive, turn right near the ambulance to find a broken window a little further on; go through it and get to the end of the corridor to find the coin on the floor on the left and near some stacked furniture.
Ground Zero
25 ) Washington: in the hospital, before continuing towards the goal, go right until you reach a small bar area; here you will find the coin next to the cash register.
26 ) Hawaii: after defeating a certain enemy you will find yourself in a flooded garage; Search inside the gatehouse by breaking the glass to find this coin.
Seattle Day 3
Marina
27 ) Kansas: at the beginning of the chapter, instead of continuing, turn around and go back to immediately find the coin on the ground.
28 ) Louisiana: shortly after, once you have reached the Lenora Street station, cross the ramp without going up and a little further on on the left you will find the coin.
The island
29 ) Idaho: After reaching the highway bridge look for a truck with the back doors open, go up in and look for this coin near the chest.
30 ) North Carolina: shortly after you will reach a waterfall with some destroyed vehicles; look for the one with the back door open to find the coin right there on the ground.
31 ) Montana: you will find this coin in the village of the Hyenas, in the hut in front of the sawmill and more precisely in the mezzanine floor accessible via the staircase positioned externally.
32 ) Arkansas: After passing the convenience store, and before crawling under the truck along the road, look for a cart on the left with a blue cover on it. The last coin will be waiting for you next to it, hidden in the grass.
