The launch of PlayStation 5 it was a huge success and apparently shattered past records by PlayStation 4. But not everything went smoothly, as several people have reported numerous inefficiencies and "software" and "hardware" problems of your console. After realizing that the problem was not caused by the reader, as the ticking also occurred with digital content, the only solution was to look elsewhere.
Remove the console's two side strips - a simple operation that requires only a little attention not to swipe the two panels - you'll end up with your PlayStation 5 completely stripped.
At this point, using a torx wrench, locate the four screws that hold the fan grille. Removed the four screws, with the use of a small blade or the tip of a flat and fine screwdriver, raise the primary protection grid. At this point you just have to gently lift the plastic cover that covers the fan power supply.
At this point, using a small precision tweezer (we recommend without teeth), remove the power supply from the fan; after that you can remove the fan carefully. As you can see now the ticking that was heard in the video was caused by that transparent plastic that separated the component from the fan block. With the use of a small scissor you just have to cut that piece of plastic and remove it precisely, being careful not to touch the molded components.
Once the growth has been removed, proceed with reassembling the fan, first paying attention to insert it in the correct direction and finally to reposition the protection grid. Reassembled everything, just turn on your PlayStation 5 and wait: you will then notice that the noise has disappeared.
The cause of this noise, specifically this ticking, is caused by this plastic which, during the fast rotation of the fan, creates this continuous beating. We remind you that this procedure does not invalidate the warranty, since you are not going to remove the seal of the console! This procedure can be useful for cleaning the console and when you want to insert - when available - the expansion memories, since the slot is positioned under the two panels and just below the fan.
