La Nintendo Switch Pro, next console signed by the big Japanese N and on which several rumors are now circulating, according to the latter it may no longer be characterized by a screen 720p LCD - like the current console - but from a Mini-LED.
Leading to the birth of this hypothesis was a recent leak that, at the moment, has not yet seen an official confirmation. According to the latter, the next hardware signed by the Japanese company Nintendo, which is expected to hit the market in 2021, will leverage a mini-LED panel to sharpen contrast, provide better brightness, backlighting, better image quality and longer battery life.
To make such a display Nintendo would have decided to part with its current screen suppliers - that is Sharp e JDI - to join forces in a multi-year collaboration with Taiwan Innolux Corporation. The latter would in fact be perfect to better support the development of the new Nintendo Switch Pro, and make it as competitive as possible on the market.
A similar choice by the company would be due to its desire to improve the platform and make it ready to support different types of games, including those in 4k and the upcoming new generation.
At the moment these rumors, deriving from a report by Economic News Daily, have not received confirmation, as well as no further official details regarding the new Nintendo Switch Pro.
No news has even arrived regarding the name: Switch Pro in fact it would represent only a way to indicate the next platform: it probably won't be the actual name. In this sense, any news must be taken with a grain of salt, awaiting confirmation or official announcements from the company.
The only security, for now, concerns the release on the market of the new - and improved - hardware signed by the big Japanese N, currently scheduled for next year.
