Anthem: This week EA will decide what to do with it

According to Bloomberg, this week is expected to take place an important meeting in Electronic Arts. The argument? Decide the fate of Anthem. The BioWare title saw the light two years ago, but resulted in poor success in critical opinion and sales. The development team had not given up, however, and last year the executive producer Christian Dailey he had repeatedly spoken of different plans to revive the game.

Dailey, however, left the Anthem team (following internal reorganizations at BioWare), thus sending the boiling ball back to Electronic Arts, who should now decide what to do with this title: on the other hand there are examples of games that have been able to be reborn from their ashes - such as No Man's Sky - but still spending time and resources in Anthem could prove to be not very fruitful, especially if a clear project is missing and if the company were the first not to be convinced of Anthem's possibilities of revenge. The revolution project, called Anthem Next, currently sees around 30 people engaged, a number that - according to team members - should be at least tripled to be able to complete the work in progress on the game.

Anthem: This week EA will decide what to do with itIt is therefore possible that during these days the fate of Anthem will be known, which perhaps will be communicated by the EA itself through its official channels. Should development continue, Anthem Next should include numerous changes to the game system and UI.
