The mode Combined Arms is 12 vs 12 and allows you to zoom in on maps and use vehicles. Helicopters and other flying vehicles can also be used, and can be played alongside modes such as Domination which will lead teams to clash to capture flags in a larger than usual map.

The game will have a new sound system for weapons, which will allow to distinguish friendly fire from the enemy one through a three-dimensional and directional sound. THEThe class system, on the other hand, will be based on slots for primary and secondary weapons and equipment, including Field Upgrades, which allow you to help your team or damage enemies, and which can only be used after death. The points earned in game can be accumulated thanks to the Scorestreaks, which allow you to preserve the points after death, but are limited.

Weapons can be upgraded by Gunsmith and for each modification there are at least six different choices. Movement has been improved: sprints give you some speed right from the start, jumping happens at more natural heights and slows down as you land, with a noise that varies based on how fast you move.
