Cyberpunk 2077 - Skippy, the talking gun

Among the dozens of more or less unlikely weapons available in Cyberpunk 2077, the talking gun undoubtedly stands out Skippy, battle tool that is almost an NPC. In fact, Skippy unexpectedly has a personality of its own. When you pick it up, you will have a brief conversation with it. Whatever you decide to do, don't try to change its name ...

Cyberpunk 2077 - Skippy, the talking gun

Skippy is an incredibly powerful and unique smart pistol that progresses with the level of the user within the dynamics of Cyberpunk 2077. One of the first things it will ask you is if you would like the functionality of automatic targeting whether lethal (Stone Cold Killer mode - Ice Assassin) or non-lethal (Puppy-Loving Pacifist mode).

Choose the one that best suits your style of play, but know that after 50 kills Skippy will automatically switch to the mode you didn't initially choose, to remain there permanently. So, if you plan on using the weapon for the long term, opt for the Pacifist mode right away.

Find Skippy, the talking gun in Cyberpunk 2077

To find the tool in question, travel to College St. Subway Station in Heywood. From there, head south to a question mark on the map indicating an optional side mission.

After some time that Skippy has changed modes permanently, it will ask you to return it to its original owner. You can choose to disobey (suffering the insults indefinitely) or proceed with the mission The Machine Gun. Cyberpunk 2077's optional mission would then involve returning the Skippy pistol to its rightful (?!) Owner Regina Jones.

This will reset the weapon to factory settings, rename it Daisy, and give you the option to keep the gun or deliver it for 7.000 eddies. The decision will therefore be yours, but it is worth noting that factory reset will not change the original choice of Lethal or Pacifist mode. Also, since Skippy cannot be sold, disassembled or stowed, this will be the only way to remove it from inventory after acquiring it.
