Kitao wanted to start the discussion by stating how, despite the many similarities of the next title with the series of Souls, the new RPG still wants to break away from the latter. The title will in fact have dark fantasy elements typical of the previously mentioned franchise, but flanked by an open world nature, perfectly connected to different dungeons.

Within the game world, designed to be an immense source of danger, the protagonist will be able to move easily thanks to Reima (Ghost Horse), a horse that can be evoked at any moment by means of a whistle.

The presence of this faithful companion will make it very easy to explore in larger areas, but could be a limitation in narrow ones. In any case, as Kitao stated, in Elden Ring there will be no indications or orders of the dungeons, since at the base of the game there will be total freedom of movement.

The manager then wanted to talk about one of the main fears of gamers: difficulty. According to what Kitao revealed, Elden Ring it wasn't going to be designed to be difficult, but it wasn't going to be easy either.

The new RPG will in fact offer the right degree of challenge to allow the player, once a difficulty has been overcome, to experience a strong sense of achievement. However, the game will offer many systems to support users, including the ability to summon allies, the presence of oneshot enemies, stealth shots behind and simpler dungeons, designed to increase levels and become familiar with the mechanics.

In conclusion, Yasuhiro Kitao wanted to clarify how the development of the title is progressing and he wanted to thank the fans for their patience.

Elden Ring will land on console PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S e PC il 21 gennaio 2022.
