Far Cry 6 and Rainbow Six Quarantine postponed

If all of 2020 was battered by postponements and delays, this week in particular seems to be a harbinger of bad news for many players. In fact, after yet another postponement of Cyberpunk 2077, Ubisoft today announced the postponement of Far Cry 6 and Rainbow Six Quarantine release dates, respectively scheduled for February 18, 2021 and an undefined date prior to that March 31, 2021 which will see the end of the current fiscal year.

The cause of the delay would be attributed to the difficulty of working from home and the new scheduled dates would be between April 2021 and March 2022.

Benefiting from this moment of strong momentum and despite the postponement of Far Cry 6 and Rainbow Six Quarantine to fiscal year 2021-2022, our income targets remain in line with what we set in May.

The "moment of strong momentum" to which Ubisoft refers, it's likely attributable to the upcoming releases of Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Watch Dogs Legion, the first out on November 10 and the second on the shelves today.

In short, bad news for those who had preordered the games. If nothing else, this 2020 will teach us patience.
