    HP launches the S750 line of SSDs

    HP today announced the line S750 of ssd client segment in the 2,5-inch form factor that takes advantage of the Sata interface 6 Gbps. SSDs are available with 256 GB, 512 GB e 1 TB, the units combine an SMI source controller with flash memory 3-layer 96D NAND. All three variants are rated to offer sequential transfer rates up to 560 MB / s in reading, with up to 520 MB / s in writing. The variant from 256 GB offers random access performance up to 55.000 / 79.000 IOPS (read / write); the 512 GB variant up to 90.000 / 89.000 IOPS and the variant from 1 TB up to 74.000 / 80.000 IOPS.

    The strength of the three variants is rated at 160 TBW, 320 TBW and 650 TBW respectively. The company did not disclose pricing as it varies widely from country to country, however we have reason to believe that it will not differ much from the prices of HP's competitors.
