Kamiya invites us to forget about Bayonetta 3

Kamiya invites us to forget about Bayonetta 3

Hideki Kamiya is famous for being a very direct man. In its nature, it invites us to forget about Bayonetta 3 at least for now, in response to constant questions about the project. After all, the third title in the series was announced for 4 years ago, only to be followed by constant press blackout. Outside of some reassurance of how well development is progressing, Platinum Games has never expressed much about the title.

Kamiya invites us to forget about Bayonetta 3In an interview Kamiya spoke about the title, even in this case, without saying anything direct. He simply invited fans to "forget about Bayonetta 3 for now, so it will be a pleasant surprise when it comes out", and then give a shred of hope by saying "we're only in January, we'll have to get something out." Meanwhile, rumors are circulating that the title has been downsized following the release of Devil May Cry 5.

Ultimately, it might be best to follow Kamiya's advice and forget about Bayonetta 3. The title is pretty elusive now, and we doubt any major updates will be shared until we're close to release. The game is theoretically planned for Nintendo Switch, but with Switch Pro increasingly rumored we cannot rule out a change of plans.
